Childminders, nurseries, daycare… How are children under 3 years of age cared for? - 20 Minutes

When you become a parent, one of the first questions you ask yourself is: what kind of childcare will I find for my child? The National Observatory for Early Childhood publishes a report on the provision of childcare for children under 3 years of age.

We learn that the supply of childcare for children under 3 increased between 2016 and 2017. This increase is explained by a drop in births greater than the number of childcare places created.

Significant territorial disparities should be noted, with a reception capacity which varies from ten places for 100 children in Guyana to 93 places in Haute-Loire.

Why does childcare remain a factor of inequality?
