The case of the head of the Chuvash Republic, Mikhail Ignatiev, again poses to officials the question of compliance with the new realities. And before people free from official rituals, there is a much more interesting question: do we, in general, want the fate of an official to depend on campaigns on social networks?

The question is completely idle.

But first, as usual, a little context. Mikhail Vasilievich Ignatiev, like any farmer born in a large village family, does not differ in clarity of wording. His recent embarrassment with a proposal to “drench” journalists and bloggers caused a great resonance among journalists and bloggers. Although - we must admit it honestly - it is unlikely that any of the non-journalists or non-bloggers at least for a second regretted their offended feelings. People do not like journalists and bloggers, and I must say that they are doing the right thing. But, interestingly, our hero got burned not at all on journalists and bloggers. And, surprisingly, on people like him, statesmen.

As soon as the media dust from the offer to “wet” settled, Mikhail Vasilievich got on a video of strange content. Handing the keys to the new fire engines to an employee of the Ministry of Emergencies, the head of Chuvashia first raised these keys on his outstretched arm, which made the rescuer reach for them. And then he completely dropped the keys (most likely, not specifically), which made the same rescuer lift them from the ground. From the side it looked like a mockery. Whether they really were, we do not know. At least no complaints have been received.

But then suddenly the leadership of the United Russia party spoke, of which the unlucky governor was a member. The party’s associates called Ignatieff a “moral freak,” said he “once again broke the bottom,” described the incident as a “circus performance,” and then completely excluded the villain from the party. And Ignatiev himself was dismissed.

And now I ask the same question again: what is more important for us - the effectiveness of a particular manager or what they write about him on social networks? You will say that these indicators are correlated. And what exactly depends on the effectiveness of the manager what they write about him in social networks. And I will answer you that this is not so. And that, although social networks are populated by completely different people, the most accomplished are usually active among them. Just believe my experience, he is very rich. And this is not the first time that we are faced with the fact that a joint performance of haters is able to demolish not only some Hollywood superstar (nobody has been surprised for this for a long time), but also knows how to even jump off a cliff and lie down under the tank of the Russian governor. Not to mention simpler officials who once said something stupid.

If an official once said stupidity, and built roads, hospitals and schools a hundred times, everything will be forgiven him, you say. And I would also like to think so.

Moreover, the head of Chuvashia perfectly illustrates this thesis. He did not build roads, schools and hospitals, but he was remembered for calling Prime Minister (then) Medvedev "Vasily Petrovich."

As well as corruption cases, the purchase of a Volkswagen Phaeton car (which, if anyone doesn’t know, is just a “Bentley”) and a sauna in a high-rise building of the Chuvash government. Well, that is, hardly anyone loved Mikhail Ignatiev. And frankly, he doesn’t feel sorry for him.

But there is no answer to this question in this statement. Yes, if, say, Sergei Sobyanin does some absurd stupidity, then any Muscovite will turn a blind eye to this. Well, besides a well-known group of frostbitten followers of folk tribunes. But, besides the governors, there are simply officials. About whose work, perhaps, it is not so widely known. But who are under the same magnifier of public attention as the governors. It seems to me that not a single reasonable person will argue with the fact that the official who said: “Nobody asked you to give birth,” was dismissed for no reason. And such cases will become more and more, because as soon as ochlos (and “users of social networks” is oohlos) ... So, as soon as okhlos feels his strength, he will begin to abuse this power. And to destroy the careers and functions of people is just a momentary whim. And there is only one way to counter this obvious threat: not to let you feel your strength.

Ineffective governor - well, let him quit on his own. And do not connect this with a campaign of public censure. To follow the crowd means surrendering to the crowd. It may be beneficial for a political party, because it is a crowd of potential voters. But the government system is certainly completely unprofitable. The criterion for evaluating the work of an official should be only the efficiency of the official. And it’s not at all what he says and where, where and how he dances and what kind of lingerie he is trying on. If an official clearly fulfills his function and practices BDSM in the evenings after work, this should in no way worry the official’s client. Because this is the private life of an official. If the official, putting the last stamp on the agreed document, involuntarily says the word “damn”, this also should in no way worry the official’s client. Because the document is agreed and the seal is delivered.

And if we don’t understand this simple division of profession and crowd right now, we will very soon and certainly come to all this idiocy that happens where we would never want to live.

Well, I don’t know how you are, of course, but I certainly would never want to live there.
