And the specialist of nutritional behavior, Dr. Carla Habib Murad, from the College of Agriculture and Nutrition Sciences at the American University of Beirut, believes that there is no specific number of the amount of water that we should drink on a daily basis, however most health experts advise to drink the equivalent of eight glasses of water per day, However, there is a recommended daily amount for children by the National Academy of Medicine, which gives an estimate of the number of glasses of water to be ingested.

Murad added, “Humidification is very important for children, as they need to drink more water during the day, for several reasons, including their rapid growth, high water content in their body, and being more active than adults in general, which means losing more fluid.”

In turn, the nutrition specialist, Jumana Al-Dabbagh said: "Children do not usually ask to drink water as a first choice when they feel thirsty, and parents must make the water accessible to children and provide it in a fun way."
