Request for Okinawa Prefectural Governor CSF (porcine cholera) vaccination January 24, 14:33

With the spread of the CSF, a so-called swine cholera infectious disease of swine, spread in Okinawa, Governor Tamaki of Okinawa met with the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Eto and requested that vaccination be carried out as soon as possible.

Governor Tamaki of Okinawa Prefecture visited the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries on March 24 and handed a request to the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries Eto.

The request requires that Okinawa be designated as an area to be vaccinated against pigs as early as possible and that the necessary number of vaccines be secured.

In response, Minister Eto said, "I would like to hold a meeting of experts today and designate the area to be vaccinated. If I make a program for vaccinating, I will put it in the actual immunization, so I would like to support it." I responded.

After the request, Governor Tamaki told reporters, "I'm grateful that the Minister has said that we will appoint it today. We would like to work on the program more quickly while strictly observing the hygiene standards." I said.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries has so far designated 20 prefectures, such as Gifu and Gunma prefectures, as vaccination areas. If Okinawa Prefecture is added, it will be the 21st prefecture.
