Cuba Gooding Jr. will be tried in New York starting April 21, according to the New York Post . Accused of sexual assault and forced touching in three different cases, for facts between 2018 and 2019, the 52-year-old star faces a year in prison if found guilty.

Prosecutors intend to prove that these three incidents are far from isolated and they asked the judge to be able to examine no less than 19 witnesses, who claim to have been victims of the acts of actor Jerry Maguire and would prove that he is multi -recidivist. Justice Curtis Farber accepted only two of these witnesses.

No more delay

Cuba Gooding Jr. in any case did not enter the good graces of the judge, since it arrived with 30 minutes of delay at its preliminary hearing of this Wednesday. While his lawyer cited traffic jams on the route, Judge Farber "advised" him to leave 30 minutes early the next time.

The actor maintains in any case that he is innocent.
