A traveler from China has been diagnosed in Seattle as infected by Wuhan's Chinese coronavirus, becoming the first patient in US territory and the first confirmed case outside of Asia, according to a spokesman for the Centers for Control and Prevention of Diseases of the North American country (CDC).
Although details of the case have not yet been given, the agency itself has announced that it will give a press conference this Tuesday.
This strange outbreak of pneumonia emerged at the end of December in a fish market in the city of Wuhan, in the center of the country. Until now it was believed that it was only transmitted from animals to humans, but the National Health Commission of China confirmed the transmission from person to person.
The worst possible news was confirmed on Monday night: the new coronavirus (2019-nCoV) that spreads through China is transmitted among humans. And on the morning of this Tuesday, the Asian giant reached another terrible news that alarms the population even more: six deaths have been confirmed since the last four accounted for by the new virus, Lucas de la Cal reports.
