Davos - how much in this sound ... Wait a minute. There is only one sound in Davos - the noise of the seated private jets of billionaires who are going to their coven, which they call the economic forum. And there are still not private jets - in total, it was estimated that about one and a half thousand planes are involved in delivering all the participants in the annual rally of people who think that they rule the world economy. Previously, no one would have thought of counting the number of manpower departures. And now, when under the cold, hating eye of Greta Tunberg every CO₂ emission is counted, the time has come.
It seems that Greta Svantevna is the only person who will come to Davos by train. I don’t know who told her that the train does not give CO₂ emissions, because this is a very alternative knowledge. Only a graduate of gender courses at the Berlin Academy of Gender. But nonetheless. She and her followers will come to make some noise about the climate in Davos.
Waiting for some good memes like How dare you? Or some other escapade, which will be applauded by the local Davos community, shaking diamonds and watches for half a million euros.
Because now in Davos, of course, it will not do without a climate agenda. Nothing happens today without her. As in the USSR, any text was preceded by quotations from the classics of Marxism-Leninism. Otherwise, the work simply would not have been printed. Well, to the kraynyak something from the current Brezhnev or the materials of the next congress. It is this amazing similarity that gives us reason to celebrate the onset of neo-Marxism. This time under the guise of a struggle for the environment, blah blah blah.
But the Davos forum is also an economic one, because those who make money gather there. And the presence of Greta only gives fun and media to the main process of our time - making money from the air. The teenager, who is rapidly losing the charm of adolescence (she is already 17), perfectly makes out with the anti-capitalist speeches the hype associated with the trading of CO₂ emissions and other climate fanaberia. Say it, girl, the box office is ringing every second. It is beneficial to everyone. Especially to the capitalists.
Mika White, founder of the Occupy Wall Street movement, noticed this basic contradiction here recently: “My decision to go to Davos, to the den of the world elite, was probably a reputation for suicide. In our cultural environment, activists believe that nothing good can happen there. Just to nightmare the elite is no longer working. It no longer worked in the 1970s, not like now. Now we need to do something specific. Global challenges dictate to us a change in the behavior of activists and a change in the behavior of the elite. Maybe Davos is the starting point for this process. ”
What needs to be done has recently been demonstrated here by the German division of Fridays For Future, which considers itself a movement named after Greta Tunberg. This it led students away from school, violating the law on universal compulsory education (for which, in fact, parents of students must pay a fine). Now the gop company, led by a rather elderly girl who has nothing to do with schoolchildren - Louise Neubauer - has begun blackmailing corporations. At first, FFF started, with the support of the local press, the nightmare of Siemens. Because the company supplies parts of the railway to Australia - from the coast to a coal mine.
Why? Because Australia burns forests. What does a coal mine have to do with fires, which are 90% man-made and some of them come from climate activists who need to justify the danger of global warming? Naturally, Neubauer is silent. But her hunveibins demand that Siemens abandon the contract for € 80 million. Well, so that Siemens workers do not earn too much and the German economy dips even more after activists attacked the auto industry.
The joke is that if the German newspapers simply did not write about the "initiatives of activists", then they would not exist - they live only on PR.
They would not write, as they did not write about 8 thousand tractors, furious with all this climatic madness of farmers on the streets of Berlin (exactly one note, which immediately sunk in the tape). About any FFF shot - four notes on the front page. Now, activists poison prominent athletes only because they have sponsors - banks. And banks, among other things, give loans to companies that own mines.
Do you see the connection? Me not. Nevertheless, they poison and force to repent in the press. That’s real - like the hunveibins. But you can go so far. Very far. But they just let you know what will happen if you don’t obey Greta and her army.
Against this background, Russians look like a bulwark of sanity. Because neither Putin nor Chubais (just do not have to laugh - he is the leader of the green idea in the energy sector) do not deny the fact that something needs to be done with the environment. At the same time, the Russian Federation is in a much more favorable position for “neutral impact on the climate”, no matter how stupid it may sound. Because, unlike Germany itself, in Russia there is nuclear energy, which no one gave up under the pressure of green idiots, as happened in Germany. It is she - zero CO₂. In Russia - the most powerful hydropower plants, which are also zero CO₂. Few can boast of this en masse, especially in Europe.
Germany, which is now destroying its energy under fairy tales about CO₂, will have to buy nuclear energy from France and dirty coal from Poland. And pretend that between the atmosphere over Poland and Germany there is an impenetrable wall. Actually, that's why I call eco-activists hypocrites, as well as politicians who play these games. Nothing personal. Just an engineering approach.
But for now, while sitting at one of the 189 Russian hydroelectric power stations, looking at the stream of water, which is already very useful for the psyche, we will wait for the next memes from Greta. And then we will laugh out loud.
