The strike against savings and downsizing at Radio France, which started on Tuesday in its 50th day, was again renewed for 24 hours after a new general meeting of staff.

During this GA broadcast on the Internet, the unlimited strike call launched by the CGT and renewed from day to day was extended until Wednesday evening. The movement was launched on November 25 to obtain the withdrawal of a departure plan presented by management. It was Tuesday at its 50th day, a truce of ten days having been observed at Christmas.

The disruptions continue

An exit from the strike still does not seem in sight, while discussions between the unions and management on the departure plan resumed in early January. Despite variable participation rates but overall declining since the start of the movement, the disturbances continue on the group's antennas, especially on France Inter where most of the shows scheduled for Tuesday have been deprogrammed.

In addition, several concerts have been canceled in recent weeks at the Maison de la Radio, while the Radio France choir is one of the structures most affected by the job cuts. The movement's objective is to obtain the withdrawal of a plan presented by management which provides 60 million euros in savings and 299 job cuts (with 76 job creations in parallel).
