• In advance, the RAE sees no reason to reform the Constitution
  • The example of Venezuela Extreme extreme language
  • Inclusive language Equality, privilege and pragmatism

The plenary session of the Royal Spanish Academy (RAE) approved on Thursday a contrary report to adapt the inclusive language in the Constitution, text that has been sent "immediately" to the Government since it was the petitioner. The meaning of the report, requested by Carmen Calvo in the Equality Commission of the Congress of Deputies, was advanced by EL MUNDO last Wednesday.

The SAR has sent a brief statement informing of the approval of the report requested in 2018 by the then Vice President and Minister of Equality, Carmen Calvo, without indicating whether the pronouncement was in favor or against changing the wording of the Magna Carta .

However, it has already transpired that the SAR has unanimously approved the text, contrary to that adaptation of the language of the Constitution, according to the proposal of the academics Paz Battaner, Pedro Álvarez Miranda, Ignacio Bosque and Inés Fernández Ordóñez .
