Americans do not want to leave Iraq. Not for that, they say, we conquered Iraq in 2003 to leave now, with our tail in place. Does the Iraqi parliament require us to leave? So what, let him demand. First, pay the many billions of dollars we spent in Iraq. Let them pay for the bases we built, let them pay for the maintenance of the sinister Abu Ghraib prison, where thousands of Iraqis died under torture. Let them pay for the work of our masters of torture, for the work of our engineers who have been stealing Iraqi oil for 17 years. And this is just the beginning.

The Iraqi state bank holds its financial instruments in New York, in the account of a large American bank - this was one of the first requirements of the occupation regime. If the Americans have to leave Iraq, Iraq will be left without money and even without ways to pay for bread. In addition, President Trump said, the worst sanctions will be imposed on Iraq - like North Korea. The people of Iraq will perish from hunger and cold. They will not be able to sell their oil. Everything in this world has been seized, everything belongs to America, which means that an attempt to free oneself from their occupation amounts to rebellion.

Why didn’t they think of such an answer in Moscow in 1991 and did not demand from Georgia, Ukraine and other Union republics to pay for the years of Soviet assistance? And not only Moscow. London at one time did not demand from the United States to pay for 200 years of development of the American continent. Paris did not refuse to leave Algeria until the Algerians reimburse all expenses of France. There was only one precedent when a country freed from colonial dependence was obliged to pay everything to the colonialists — it was a small French colony of Haiti. As a result, Haiti was robbed totally, so much so that 200 years later they still pay their debts and swell from hunger and disease. This is the way the Americans are preparing Iraq.

But the Iraqis are not inferior. They demand from the Americans - leave. You say that they brought us freedom, but what kind of freedom is it if we cannot end the occupation? And give our money back. Muktada al-Sadr, the leader of a large Shiite faction who is not accused of loyalty to Iran, is going to bring a million Iraqis to a demonstration demanding “Yankees, go home!”. Demands to drive away the invaders are increasingly heard in the country and are becoming a new powerful idea uniting the divided people of Iraq.

Indeed, after the United States captured Iraq in 2003, despite the active resistance of Russia, France, Germany, with the help of lies about weapons of mass destruction, Iraq’s involvement in 9/11 and bribes to corrupt generals, the Yankees spent huge sums and efforts on discord Iraq. Under Saddam Hussein, Iraqis did not think which of them was Sunni and which Shiite. Everyone has learned this under occupation. Once, Iraqi police arrested a group of terrorists who were about to blow up a Sunni mosque.

Only they were not mischievous Shiites, but soldiers of the SAS, British special forces. With such attacks, bombings and killings, the invaders were able to sow discord among Iraqis.

As a result, ISIS *, or the Islamic State, emerged, an organization of extremist Sunnis composed of former Iraqi army officers. The British and Americans fostered them, gave them weapons, and American politicians met with them. There is a famous photo - a friendly meeting between al-Baghdadi and McCain. And yet, thanks to Russian intervention, ISIS managed to neutralize. Now the Americans are saying: if we leave, ISIS will rise again. No wonder the Yankees hold thousands of captured Islamist militants; to use them again is not a long thing.

The United States is trying to disrupt the demands to withdraw troops by playing this wonderful instrument. They argue that, they say, all their opponents are puppets of Iran. Earlier they would say - the henchmen of the communists. You can say everything. But these words no longer impress Iraqis. The US is preparing to block military aid to Iraq. After all, this help went to the Iraqi army. So the Yankees hope to cause dissatisfaction with the generals - for sure among the senior Iraqi officers, which had already formed under occupation, there are many lovers of help cutting.

Iraq does not need anyone's help, if only it would not harm. The country has enough oil and gas, a lot of good specialists. The United States will now try to prevent Iraq from extracting and selling oil and using the skills of its workers and engineers. Russia at one time was a friend of Iraq, was against American aggression and occupation, and now can help with advice and supplies of the world's best air defense systems.

The longer American soldiers and advisers linger in Iraq, the less likely they are to restore ancient Mesopotamia, the cradle of human civilization. Russia supports the just demand of the people of Iraq - the invaders must leave so that the country can develop itself. And there, the Iraqis themselves will figure out how to live and to whom to sell their oil.

* “Islamic State” (ISIS, ISIS) - the organization was recognized as terrorist by decision of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation of December 29, 2014.
