“You can educate the public only with your talent”: Maxim Dunaevsky celebrates his 75th birthday

January 15 marks the 75th anniversary of the People's Artist of Russia, composer Maxim Dunaevsky. His father, Isaac Dunaevsky, was also a famous musician. Already at the age of 18, Dunaevsky Jr. headed the pop studio of Moscow State University, and soon after graduating from the Moscow Conservatory began to create music for films. Among the most famous works of Dunaevsky are the songs “It's time, it's time to rejoice”, “33 cows”, “Call me, call”, “Fortune teller” (“Well, what to say ...”) and “City flowers”. The composer worked with iconic poets and artists of our time: he co-wrote with Robert Rozhdestvensky, Yuri Entin, Leonid Derbenev, his songs were performed by Mikhail Boyarsky, Nikolai Karachentsov, Lyubov Uspenskaya and others.
