Plum blossoms begin to bloom at Kitano Tenmangu in Kyoto January 9 17:59

At Kitano Tenmangu in Kyoto, known as a famous ume spot, plum blossoms are beginning to bloom.

In Kitano Tenmangu in Kamigyo-ku, Kyoto, which surrounds Michizane Sugawara, about 1500 plum trees, which are said to be preferred by Michizane, are planted.

Among them, the early blooming Kanbai plum blossoms bloomed last year, and two other species also bloomed, showing red and white karna.

Although there is a tendency to warm winter, the flowering is on a par with the average year, and Mr. Nagahide Fujita of Kitano Tenmangu Shrine said, "I think the plum blossoms will open one after another."
