The BBC Channel announced the launch of the production of the program based on the Harry Potter universe. At the moment, the show, which will talk about real and mythological creatures, as well as about animals from the wizarding world, is called “Fantastic Beasts: A Natural History”.

The project was approved by Warner Bros. studio, which previously shot all the Harry Potter films and is currently working on a series of spin-offs under the general title “Fantastic Beasts”. The action of the paintings takes place several decades before the events described in the original books.

It is already known that the leading program will be actor, writer and playwright Stephen Fry. He has already voiced audio books on the works of Rowling. Fry is enthusiastic about filming:

“I am extremely happy to be part of this incredible project that will allow us Muggles to show wizards that the fantastic beasts of our world are in no way inferior to magical creatures,” he said.

The creators of the program will talk in detail about outlandish creatures, including phoenixes, sniffs, explosives and zuvu. Together with the frames from the films, the BBC videos on natural history will be transmitted. Spectators will be shown how fantastic creatures are associated with real animals.

Filming is carried out in collaboration with the London Museum of Natural History. He is also preparing an exhibition of similar subjects called “Fantastic creatures: a miracle of nature”. Representatives of the museum call the exposition the most ambitious project of the site. The main purpose of the event is to show visitors that the real world is no less interesting and surprising than the fictional one.

Pending Continuation

In the fall of 2019, it became officially known that Warner Bros. gave the go-ahead to the production of the third part of the spin-off of "Fantastic Beasts". The director's chair will continue to be occupied by David Yates, the producer Stephen Cloves and personally Joan Rowling are working on the script.

The premiere of the trikvel is to take place on November 21, 2021. It is planned that in general the spin-off will include five films, the remaining of which will be released in the first half of the 2020s. However, the details have not been disclosed.

Fairytale plans or vain hopes

Fans' interest in the magical world of Rowling does not subside, and information periodically appears on the network (of varying degrees of reliability) regarding new books or film adaptations. So, in July 2019, the We Got This Covered portal reported that Warner Bros. preparing to remove the prequel in the form of a series, which will be posted on the WarnerMedia streaming service (the launch of the site is expected in 2020).

The reaction of the fans was mixed - many fans of the franchise opposed the further exploitation of the universe in a similar vein and accused the filmmakers of trying to monetize the writer's work. Some wrote that they would rather see the sequel rather than the Harry Potter prequel.

However, a few days later, representatives of J.K. Rowling reported that the information about the series should not be taken seriously. The position of the writer has been unchanged since 2015 - then fans have already approached her with a question about the series via Twitter.

“(The series will be. - RT ) Immediately after the opera, the Potter-on-Ice show and the dance performance of The Tales of Bard Beadle,” the writer jokingly stated, adding the hashtag #ThisDon’t.

At the same time, some elements of the production of “Harry Potter and the Cursed Child” will allegedly be present in the film.

According to rumors, the youngest son of the protagonist of the original series, Albus Severus Potter, as well as the daughter of Voldemort, who will try to resurrect his father, will be at the center of the story. We Got This Covered also suggests that the film could be the start of the Albus Severus franchise. J.K. Rowling and Warner Bros. Representatives This information has not yet been commented on.
