Jesus' first temptation, by the humor group Porta dos Fundos, which premiered in early December last year quickly aroused the reactions and criticism of conservative Christian groups in Brazil because of its portrayal of Jesus as gay.

Over one million people signed a call for Netflix to release the film in conjunction with its premiere. On Christmas Eve, the Humor Group's office was attacked as in Rio de Janeiro with two home-made bombs. No one should have been injured in the attack.

Now a judge in the country has decided that Brazilian Netflix must pick down the Christmas special. In a statement, the judge says the stop of Jesus' first temptation is "beneficial to both the Christian world and to the Brazilian community that is largely Christian," according to AP.

Neither Netflix nor Porta dos Fundos currently do not want to comment on the decision. The TV series is currently available on Swedish Netflix.
