Actor Stellan Skarsgård is nominated in the best male supporting role in a mini-series or TV movie, for his acting contribution in the HBO series Chernobyl.
"It's extremely fun," Stellan Skarsgård told TT when the nomination was announced.
Swedish music producer Ilya Salmanzadeh is also nominated for the work on the song Spirit for Beyoncé, which is nominated in the best film song category.
Last time for Gervais
This year's gala is led by comedian and actor Ricky Gervais, who has done it four times before.
"But this time is really the last time I do this, which creates the conditions for a fun evening," he said earlier in a statement.
The distribution of awards there is usually seen as a clue as to what it might later look like at the Oscars, held in February.
