The transition to 2020 does not seem to have gone well for Rod Stewart. The British rock star is accused of punching a hotel security officer during a New Years Eve party in Florida, according to a Palm Beach police report.
A blow to the rib cage
The 74-year-old singer known for his songs "Maggie May" or "You wear it well", and his family were at the Breakers hotel, when they were refused access to a party held in a " for children ”from the plush establishment. Rod Stewart is accused of hitting the guard overseeing the event in the rib cage after the guard gave in to his son's protests.
The former singer of the Faces, recognizable by his hoarse voice and his blond mop, was arrested for assault, a minor offense which is generally punishable by a fine. He is scheduled to appear in Palm Beach court on February 5.
