Google Maps pays homage to Star Wars with a new feature. - Google Maps screenshot

Do you want to wander around in space like Han Solo aboard the Millennium Falcon? This is now possible thanks to Google Maps. A new feature found on the Reddit platform allows you to travel to different planets of our solar system like a Star Wars spaceship in hyperspace, says The Huffington Post. A small update rather fun than useful, but which should delight fans of the saga.

In satellite mode

To activate hyperdrive on Google Maps, it is first necessary to switch to satellite mode by clicking on the icon at the bottom left. In the menu, you must also select "globe", then zoom out as much as possible to arrive in space.

A menu is then displayed on the left of the screen. Here, no Tatooine or Dagobah, but the stars of our solar system. By clicking on one of the planets, the hyperdrive is then activated up to the chosen destination. Have a nice trip !
