Ahead of the first auction held at Toyosu Market on the 5th, a boat that had been fishing at Oma Port had returned to Oma Port at around 11 am, and the landed tuna was carried to the fishing cooperative.

According to Oma Fisheries Cooperative, on the 4th, only one tuna weighing approximately 125 kg was landed on the 4th, and staff members lifted it with a crane and put it on a scale to measure the exact weight and length.

At the Oma Fishery Cooperative, 23 tuna including this tuna were landed from the 28th of last month, so they were loaded into trucks in wooden boxes etc. and departed to various places mainly at Toyosu market .

Oma's tuna has been at the highest price for the eighth consecutive year in the first auction between Toyosu Market and the previous Tsukiji Market. Especially last year, the market was relocated to Toyosu for the first time, and the tuna weighing 278 kg. Has been auctioned off at a record 333.6 million yen, the highest since 1999, when a record remains.
