The Fujairah Municipality, in cooperation with the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, launched a cleaning campaign that includes the beaches of Fujairah, dam areas and tourist places, in order to preserve the cleanliness of the environment and the aesthetics of beaches and tourist places in the emirate.
The campaign, which starts today and continues for a whole week, aims to provide a clean environment, promote a culture of social responsibility and develop cooperation between partners in preserving the environment and the cultural appearance of the emirate.
The Director General of the Fujairah Municipality, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Natural Resources Corporation, Eng. Muhammad Saif Al-Afkham, stressed that «attention to the cultural and aesthetic appearance of the emirate, and spreading a culture of community awareness in the field of environmental protection, comes at the top of the municipality’s priorities, and at the core of its strategic plan that works to implement it so that it remains Fujairah is an ideal destination for visitors, tourists and residents, and for everyone looking for comfort, tranquility and a picturesque nature.
He pointed out that he directed to provide the capabilities for the success of the campaign, and to involve all sectors of society and partners in the campaign, saying that creating a clean and sound environment is everyone's responsibility.
For his part, Director of Fujairah Natural Resources Engineer Eng. Ali Qasim said, “The emirate, with its tourism and natural ingredients, pays many to visit it on holidays and festive seasons, so all efforts should be made by the community members to reduce the phenomenon of random waste dumping, and create positive behavior towards an environment Clean, sustainable.
