Nick Gordon, the former fiancé of Bobbi Kristina Brown, died at the age of 30. He was admitted to intensive care at Altamonte Springs, Florida hospital on Wednesday, January 1, before succumbing, as his brother, Jack Walker Jr., confirmed to People.
According to the Daily Mail , he overdosed, resulting in a series of fatal heart attacks. Orphaned, Nick Gordon had met Witney Houston who then took him under his wing in 2007 when she had just divorced from Bobby Brown, Kristina's father.
A descent into hell
Nick Gordon and Bobbi Kristina Brown revealed their relationship soon after the disappearance of Witney Houston in 2012, found drowned in her bathtub. In 2015, her daughter was found unconscious in similar circumstances, before succumbing after six months in a coma.
Her father, Bobby Brown, then sued Nick Gordon, accusing him of drugging his daughter and claiming $ 36 million in damages. Even though the medical examiner could never establish whether or not the causes of death were accidental, Nick Gordon was found responsible in civil matters in 2016.
