Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige - AdMedia / Starface

The LGBTQ + community has been asking Marvel for a while to bring in characters who can represent it in its franchises. And Kevin Feige, the boss of the studios, has just announced during an appearance at the New York Film Academy that a transgender character would appear for the first time "in a film currently being filmed".

If Kevin Feige did not specify the film in question, there is a good chance that it is The Eternals which is in production. As such, the Geeks WorldWide site said a few months ago that Marvel was looking for someone to play a transgender character without specifying which one.

This isn't Marvel's first transgender character

It is also not the first time that Kevin Feige has addressed this issue. The boss of the Marvel studios previously assured that the character of Valkyrie, camped by Tessa Thompson in Thor: Ragnarok , could be considered a transgender character.

The actress had also been in this direction by asserting that the heroine was bisexual and gave little importance to what men think of her.
