In Jerusalem, Santa Claus entered the old city with a very local touch. On the back of a camel, under the astonished eyes of passers-by who did not expect to see him trudge on the walls of the Holy City, to receive children of all faiths.
"What matters when I am in Jerusalem is to bring joy, love and peace to this city, to the Holy Land and to the whole world", explains Santa Claus. "Merry Christmas everyone because it is a city of peace. And if there is peace here in Jerusalem, there will be peace everywhere!"
If Christmas decorations are not very common in Jerusalem, members of the Christian community take the opportunity to come and get a tree.

At nightfall, young and old converge in the Christian quarter of the old town to come and spend a few moments with Santa Claus.
"I had never seen him in my whole life so it is important yes", says a woman who came to visit Lapland. "It's the Holy Land, it's like a miracle, Santa Claus is there!"
Among the children, if some are not yet used to this man in red, many wait a long time to finally be able to meet him. "I love Santa Claus and celebrate Christmas! It makes me so happy, it makes us feel good!" Says a young girl.
"I get lots of messages from people saying to me 'Oh, Santa Claus, we don't want to go to Finland, we don't want to go to the North Pole, we have you here with us in the Holy Land now, in Jerusalem, at heart of the old town! "
