The Emperor's family attended a movie charity preview December 19th, 4:58

The Emperor's family attended a charity preview of a movie set in Hiroshima during the war in Tokyo on the 18th night.

The Emperor Empress and the eldest daughter Aiko arrived at the venue in Minato-ku, Tokyo at 6:30 pm on the 18th, and exchanged words with each person with smiles as the people involved in the movie welcomed them.

The film was screened based on the animated movie “In a corner of the world” and added about 40 minutes.

Set in Hiroshima during the war, a figure of a protagonist who lives in harsh lifestyles with a struggle in mind is depicted.

When Aiko was in her third year of junior high school, she wrote her thoughts on “peace” based on her experience of visiting the Peace Park in Hiroshima City.

After the screening, the family talked to the non-professional director and director, and the Emperor said, “It was a work that felt during the war,” and Aiko said, “I understood the old Hiroshima. I was impressed. ”

A donation box will be set up at the venue, and the funds raised will be used for the activities of the Hiroshima Prefectural Branch of the Japanese Red Cross Society.
