He was the number one Christmas host, the one who for decades kept Christmas celebrants company. Since Arne Weise's retirement, a new host has been selected each year, and this year it is the popular actor Marianne Mörck who holds the positions in SVT's broadcast. But Andreas Weise joins her in the studio.

-I have been given an honorary assignment by SVT, to a certain extent to pay tribute to my dad, which feels very right to do, he tells TT.

Weise will talk to Marianne Mörck and perform a couple of songs. He thinks it is "extremely fun" that she is Christmas worthy. They have previously worked together at Malmö Opera.

-I can't think of a better host, she is so safe and fun. And even though I've been working as an artist for ten years it requires a safe point to do this, I don't really know how to do it, says Andreas Weise.

He has grown up in the TV house, where his dad spent his Christmas.

-When I stand there in that house and pay homage to my dad, there will be all sorts of feelings, but if there is any time it will be what it will be then it is. It feels really cool to do, he says.
