Monkey Aichi Inuyama December 18 17:22 warming up by bonfire

At the “Japan Monkey Center” in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture, monkeys warming up with a bonfire are released.

At the Japan Monkey Center, in 1959, 60 years ago, the breeders were warming up by burning trees that fell on the Isewan Typhoon. A bonfire is taking place at the time.

On the 18th, it was raining until noon, and when the fire started, the monkeys gathered around to dry and repair their wet hair.

In addition, when the keeper took out the grilled potatoes from the bonfire, they scrambled all at once, and they were eaten while cooling in water.

Kenta Araki, the keeper, said, “Because monkeys that hit bonfires are rare and are not seen in the wild, I would like you to come to see the monkey's faint appearance.” The bonfire will be held from the 22nd of this month to the end of February next year, from 11.30am to 2pm on weekends and holidays.
