The Saudi newspaper “Okaz” stated that the public prosecutor in the Kingdom demanded a student to be imprisoned 4 years, and fined him 3 million riyals, after his involvement in penetrating the system of King Faisal University and amending the grades of 19 students to 199.

The accused confessed in the investigations to accessing a foreign website specialized in data leakage, which enabled him to penetrate and access the King Faisal University database, its mailing addresses and secret numbers for its employees that he used to access the student grading system. According to the information published by the newspaper "Okaz", the accused justified his action by wanting to benefit the students, not harm them!

The university has announced the marks and names of 19 students who benefited from the breakthrough by converting their grades to 199, which is the degree set for students. The investigations resulted in summoning 4 students to the arresting authority and hearing a student's statement, and a change in the grades of some of its courses was observed.

Another student reported that the accused had succeeded in adjusting her grades in two subjects, and he admitted to her using a location near the university building to enter the system via his wireless network, while another said that the hacker adjusted his grades using the university’s network, and also worked to amend the degrees of a colleague without his knowledge.
