A referendum to ask “Osaka Metropolitan City”

Mayor Matsui of Osaka City and Governor Yoshimura of Osaka Prefecture, who are representatives of the Osaka Restoration Association, and the Governor Yoshimura of Osaka Prefecture, are going to consider the so-called “Osaka Metropolitan Initiative” in the beginning of November next year. It was.

Regarding the so-called “Osaka Metropolitan Initiative”, which abolishes the current city of Osaka and reorganizes it into four special wards, the Osaka Restoration Association has compiled a draft agreement on the design of the Metropolitan Initiative by the Legal Council by June next year. The goal is to hold a referendum for voters in Osaka City.

Osaka City Mayor Matsui and Osaka Governor Yoshimura, who are representatives of the Osaka Restoration Association, set a voting day when the climate is relatively stable so that more voters can vote. As desirable, we started to consider a referendum in early November next year.

We will discuss a specific schedule with the Komeito party, which is in line with the creation of an agreement soon.

It seems that the Osaka Restoration Society has the aim of steadily consolidating votes in favor of the Tokyo initiative by raising the turnout.
