At a fishing port in Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture, about 600 km of stimulant from the fishing boat and 36 billion yen worth of the secret traffic price at the end were seized.

On the afternoon of the 11th, police and the Coast Guard surveyed a fishing boat anchored at Uonuki Port in Amakusa City, Kumamoto Prefecture. A large amount of stimulant was found in the bag.

The seized stimulant amounted to approximately 600 kilograms and the end selling price was 36 billion yen. According to the Ministry of Finance, it is considered to be the second most common stimulant seized in the country.

The police said they had three stimulants from Taiwan who were on a fishing boat because they possessed stimulants for commercial purposes (68), and Igarashi University, a company employee in Kita-ku, Tokyo, prepared for smuggling. Eight suspects (54) and others were arrested.

The police haven't disclosed the approval or disapproval of the investigation.

The police, etc., were alerted to the area around the harbor after receiving information that “stimulants were smuggled.”

The police are investigating that an international smuggling group is involved because some of the men who were arrested provided fishing boats.

A photo taken by a woman living near Uonuki-cho, Amakusa, on the 11th, was the spot where a large amount of stimulant was seized. A lot of things like bags with white powder are displayed on the blue sheet. The woman said, “The bag was taken out of the ship, carried on the seat, and then put on the car.”
