The festival includes 253 events, exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and murals, in which its participation is held by 108 artists from 31 countries, who present 241 artworks.

The opening of the Islamic Arts Festival, along with His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, was witnessed by Sheikha Nawwar Bint Ahmed bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Director of the Sharjah Art Foundation, and the head of the Department of Culture Abdullah bin Mohammed Al Owais, and a number of ambassadors working for the state, and representatives of artistic institutions and various local and international media.
