Yellowstone National Park: Biodiversity in danger!

Yellowstone Park is one of the emblems of Wild America and its great outdoors. This preserved natural area is a source of information for scientists studying the effects of global warming. The sediments they find there are a real machine to go back in time. But today, their report is overwhelming: in just a few years, the temperature of the Park has increased by one degree, causing the drying up of lakes and the disappearance of animal species. Guided tour in one of the most beautiful places on the planet.

In Senegal, climate refugees

Rising sea levels are inevitable and should unfortunately occur more quickly than expected. This rising water pushes thousands of people to exodus. Every year, there are 25 million displaced people. In the north of Senegal, near the city of Saint-Louis, Abdou Aziz and his family live this daily drama. They lost everything, their house was drowned in the ocean and they have no choice but to live in a refugee camp.

Forests victims of men

Francis Hallé is one of the greatest botanists of our time. An ardent advocate of the environment, he devoted his life and work to the study of trees and plants, especially the rainforest. He is now advocating for the reconstruction of a primary forest in Western Europe. Because there is only one in Europe: it is the Białowieża forest in Poland . It has been classified by Unesco as a "biosphere reserve". This natural habitat is a protected area for many animal species, we can even see the last wild bison in Europe. Despite this, the Polish government does not hesitate to decimate whole hectares of this forest.

In India , on the outskirts of the city of Bombay lies the magnificent forest of Aarey . Living space for many animal species and for the tribe of Adivasis, it is constantly nibbled by the extension of the city. Thousands of trees have already been cut down to promote the extension of a third subway line, with a train depot in the heart of the forest. Citizens have mobilized and managed, for now, to counter the project.
