Einár cancels participation in the Music Aid: "Have had to take a break"

The theme for this year's Music Aid is "Sex is not a weapon".

Just sex was also part of the theme in much of the harsh criticism directed at the program, after the booking of the artist Einár was made public.

“Unfortunately, Einar's participation feels very wrong given the theme of the year. I think you should think about it again, based on how he says about women and consent, ”writes one on the Music Aid Facebook page.

"He basically promotes ONLY women's hatred and sexism in his music," writes another on Music Aid's Instagram.

"We have booked Einár for his musical qualities, he contributes as an artist and nothing else," wrote Simon Rosenqvist, lead producer for Music Aid.

Now Music Aid announces that Einár has set, and that his management in a text message writes:

“Due to lack of time, Einar cannot go to Västerås for performance in the Music Aid on December 12. He has had to take a break from everything that does not concern his live show at Fryshuset on December 19 in Stockholm. "

In the comments field on the Music Help Facebook page many users ask if the criticism of Einár's lyrics may have something to do with the set gig.

The music aid spokesperson denies this.

"It has nothing to do with his lyrics, but he has to pause some participation due to lack of time," they reply on Facebook.

Einár has previously criticized the content of his texts, including in an interview in Expressen.

- I come from the Valley and that is the area that has made me who I am. There are positive things happening there and negative things happening there, you have to show both. You have to give a picture and show that this is really happening out here, Einár said then.
