The picture “Special” is based on a real story about the work of two teachers with children with autism. One of these characters on the screen embodied Vincent Cassel. In a conversation with RT, the French actor shared his impressions of meeting with volunteers, whose stories formed the basis of the image of his hero.

“These people, passing through self-denial, through self-sacrifice, live a life caring for others. They are not given the means to do this. At the same time, if they disappear, no one will do their work. Therefore, I had the impression that I was working with superheroes, ”he said.

The actor believes that working on the film taught him patience and "the need to adapt." Kassel emphasized that he decided to participate in the filming, including due to the opportunity to collaborate with directors Olivier Nakas and Eric Toledano.

“There are two directors - the director, I am familiar with their work; what they do is great. I wanted to work with them on a movie. Then, the topic is important. This is a social topic. I knew that they would approach her universally, ”he added.

Kassel also emphasized the importance of showing the tape to Russian viewers.

“It is important for me to represent all my films in Russia because I know that people watch them. I know that many French films are watched here. Every time we are very warmly received. I am glad that, in a way, I feel at home here, ”the artist said.

The tape "Specials" will be released in Russian rental on January 16, 2020. The film also involves actors Reda Kateb, Helen Vincent, Alban Ivanov and others.
