The Egyptian Interior Ministry said today that its forces foiled a terrorist operation in Sinai by pursuing elements before carrying out the operation.
The Interior Ministry announced the killing of three terrorist elements, shot by security forces, in Jalbana area, north of Sinai.
The terrorists were killed while preparing and planning a series of hostilities against the armed forces and police in the area.
The statement added that two hand grenades, two automatic weapons and a quantity of ammunition were found in the possession of the terrorists.
The Egyptian authorities, announced the killing of a group of terrorists in the same area, last September, while preparing to launch an attack against police and army points.
