ANNE ROUMANOFF, THAT'S GOOD

Launched in January 2009, La Traversée du miroir was discontinued in May 2012. In total, Patrick Poivre d'Arvor received "300 personalities". During this concept, two guests debated around six photos, chosen by them but also by the program team. Of these 300 people, the journalist has selected 40, which he transcribed the confidences in a new book: Secrets of childhood .

"I did not know how to talk to others"

With his guests, Patrick Poivre d'Arvor liked to dwell on childhood. The period "click" according to him. "This moment when we manage to fulfill his dream, or not," says the former presenter of the 20 Hours of TF1, Anne Roumanoff. And if PPDA likes this period as much, it's probably because in its personal history, it was an extremely important phase. "I was terribly shy, I did not know how to talk to others," recalls the journalist.

"I stored and it served me for my job"

However, years later, it is facing camera, to millions of viewers, that PPDA was going to address during the big masses of the 20 Hours. "It's unlikely that I did this job," he says, when he thinks back to his childish shyness. However, it is also in this shyness that Patrick Poivre d'Arvor has built his gaze on the world. "When we do not speak, we look, so I looked around, observed all around me, stored and used to my job," he says.
