It is noted that at the last film show in The Nightingale on Sunday, December 1, in the evening, the film “The Great Dictator” was watched by Charlie Chaplin, which was shown at the opening of the large cinema hall on March 1, 1989.

Earlier it was reported that the demolition of the building "Nightingale" is scheduled to begin in early December.

In the fall of 2018, it became known that Kinocenter JSC received permission to build a hotel with a cultural and leisure complex on Druzhinnikovskaya Street, Building 15, where the cinema center is located.

The chairman of the commission of the Public Chamber of Moscow on urban planning policy, architecture and construction Peter Kudryavtsev commented on RT the situation with the possible restructuring of the Nightingale.
