The beloved cat, who lives in the British Foreign Office, has returned to work after a six-week hiatus to recover from the "tension" that appeared to be, as noted by British Foreign Office staff.

The cat spent his vacation at the home of the embassy's private secretary before returning to work, according to the site "Fox News".

"I am delighted to announce that I will be returning to my duties as head of the State Department of Rat Control this week!" State Department staff posted on the cat's personal account on the social networking site Twitter.

I am happy to announce that I will be returning to my Chief Mouser duties at the @foreignoffice this week! New guidance - the Palmerston Protocols - will govern my care in the FCO to make sure it's working for me. (1/4) pic.twitter.com/j2AFKI0DGN
