Protest meeting December 3 at 19:00 on offshore Henoko, Nago City, Okinawa

On the 3rd of the US military Futenma base relocation plan in Okinawa, people against the relocation conducted a protest near the loading site for the earth and sand used for landfill.

Regarding the redesign of the Futenma base, the government started to introduce earth and sand off the coast of Henoko in Nago City in December last year, and is proceeding with construction aiming for land use by next summer.

Near the pier in Nago City, where sand and sand used for offshore Henoko are being loaded, people who opposed the relocation held protests on the 3rd of the year since the beginning of the loading process.

While the Coast Guard's guard boat was on guard, the participants went on a canoe to the offshore and protested with a placard stating “stop landfill”. Protests were also held on the sandy beaches near the pier, and people who participated urged them to stop working.

A local 70s man who participated said, `` I do not want to use the soil and stones of my hometown for war, and I will never be allowed to use the local port to carry out sediment '' .
