The Board of Directors of the AMI has unanimously proposed the president of the Editorial Unit, Antonio Fernández-Galiano , as president of the Media Association . This proposal will be substantiated in the coming weeks, through the process regulated by the statutes of the Association.

The General Assembly held this afternoon has put the finishing touch on Javier Moll's mandate as president of AMI and has elected the new members of the Board of Directors. It concludes a stage with Moll at the head of the Association in which the former Association of Spanish Newspaper Publishers (AEDE) was converted into the current AMI and opened its doors to all media regardless of its support. With Javier Moll as president, AMI has incorporated both paid and free newspapers, magazines, radio stations, televisions and digital media as full members.

Javier Moll has assured, at the end of his term, that "I can only thank my colleagues in the Association for being able to be a visible head of such an important association and that it helps to ensure the health of information in Spain."

The members of the new Board of Directors, appointed in the General Assembly, have unanimously proposed Antonio Fernández-Galiano, a member of AMI since 2017 representing the Editorial Unit, as President of the Association, at the expense of the development of the process established for the final approval in Assembly.

Antonio Fernández-Galiano, who has thanked Moll for his work, assumes the position "with the greatest illusions and decided to continue adding to face the future of the media with total guarantee to remain fundamental in the life of the Spaniards ".

The General Assembly of AMI has chosen today as members of the Board of Directors for Vocento, Prisa, Iberian Press, Editorial Unit, Grupo Godó, Spanish Audiovisual, La Voz de Galicia, Henneo, Grupo Joly, Diario de Navarra, Hora Nova, Promecal, El Progreso de Lugo, Editorial Ecoprensa, Grupo Promotor Salmantino and Diario de León.

AMI is the Association of Information Media (AMI), a non-profit organization that adds more than 80 Spanish media in its different technological platforms.
