December 3 marks the 85th anniversary of the birth of the Soviet and Russian actress Nina Doroshina. She began her career on the stage of the Theater Studio of the film actor at Mosfilm, then moved to Sovremennik, to which she remained faithful for half a century. Doroshina successfully combined her service in the theater with filming in the cinema. All-Union fame brought her the role of Hope in the comedy of Vladimir Menshov “Love and Pigeons”. Since the early 1980s, Doroshina taught at her alma mater, the Shchukin Theater School, and in 1985 she was awarded the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR.
