In order to maintain the safety of the bridge, Iwakuni City regularly reinforces and restores the bridge, and on the 2nd, we started large-scale construction for all five bridges.

During the construction on the 2nd, 17 workers were working on assembling scaffolds for examining the condition of the wood and applying preservatives.

The construction of all five bridges has been carried out since 2004, so the strength of the bridge, antiseptic treatment of wood, and painting of hardware will be carried out until the middle of March next year.

According to Iwakuni City, only one side of the bridge will be restricted during the period, and the entire bridge will be covered with a working sheet in the middle of this month, so the entire view of Kintai Bridge will not be visible until the construction is complete.
