A twin female giant panda bred in an animal park in Shirahama, Wakayama Prefecture, became five years old in two days, and an event was held to celebrate his birthday.
In Shirahama-cho Zoo World, twin female giant pandas “Sakurahama” and “Momohama” celebrated their 5th birthday on the 2nd.
On the 2nd, an event was held to celebrate the birthday. After the name, ice and other objects in the shape of "sakura" and "peach" flowers were presented.
My sister “Momohama” was playing happily, rubbing her body on the ice, but her sister “Sakurahama” was approaching the looming ice, but was walking around without touching it.
According to the zoo, two animals are about 15 years old and their weight has grown to over 100 kg.
Parents and children in their 50s and 20s who came from Okayama Prefecture said, “I was so lucky because I didn't know my birthday.”
A woman in her 40s who came from Tokyo said, “I have been watching many times but I am glad that I have grown safely. I want to see this child grow up and eventually raise my child.”
