The monkeys are cold in the hot springs Hokkaido Hakodate December 2 12:29

In the botanical garden in the hot spring town of Hakodate City, Hokkaido, hot springs are prepared in Saruyama, and the monkeys use the hot water to resist the cold.

The Hakodate Tropical Botanical Garden in Yukawa-cho, Hakodate, one of Hokkaido's leading hot spring towns, raises 74 monkeys and draws nearby springs every December and prepares hot springs for the monkeys.

The temperature of the hot water was adjusted to around 40 degrees so that the monkeys could comfortably put it in. The visitors to the botanical garden were taking photos of the monkeys using the hot springs.

A man in his 60s who came from Sapporo said, “We also entered the Kesa hot spring. The monkey looks good too.”

A man in his thirties from China also said, “The monkey looks happy and cute.”

Kayoko Kasai, Director of the Hakodate Tropical Botanical Garden, said, “I want to see the monkeys warm in the hot springs.”

The hot springs in Saruyama will be open until a large holiday in May next year when the cold will ease.
