The art of Pierre and Gilles has been recognized for more than thirty years: it is kitschy, glamorous and glittery. Visual artists and photographers produce meticulous work to find the right accessory, the right frame ... those who will sublimate their models. Eddy from Pretto, Stromae, Sylvie Vartan and Madonna are behind their goal. Their portraits are honored at the Philharmonie de Paris in a dedicated exhibition called "La Fabrique des Idoles". Clara Luciani - recently returned with the reissue of her album Sainte-Victoire - appears in Madonna with flowers: "maybe the idea came to them because I arrived at home with a bouquet of flower", she jokes she At the microphone of Europe 1. And then ... it is not without recalling its title, The Flowers .

"I wanted something sexually ambiguous, combative, mystical," says Juliette Armanet, to Europe 1. "And one day, I think it was Pierre who sent me a texto where he told me 'I just crossed a statue of Joan of Arc, she looks like you, it's crazy ... for our portrait, you'll be Jeanne' This figure I like a lot. there are not many heroines like her who have lived through the centuries. " For the exhibition, Pierre and Gilles have also reconstructed a child's room, a fan of Sylvie Vartan. The icon has often been photographed and sublimated by both artists. "The exhibition is very meticulous and all that reflects very well their poetic universe, dreamlike, young and childish.There is really a part of childhood in it," says the singer to Europe 1.
