Minister of Cabinet Affairs and Future Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Gergawi said that the annual meetings of the UAE government are an open platform throughout the year, and that the task forces will intensify their efforts to work together in a team spirit to develop the outcomes of the annual meetings.

"The late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum and the founding fathers of the UAE represented the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the founding fathers of the UAE," Al Gergawi said in a speech entitled "How do we design the next 10 years?" The first generation of designers, future designers who have shaped the vision of the advanced and sophisticated lifestyle of the people of the UAE today.

"Today, with the visions of our wise leadership, we are designing the near future for the next 10 years and the distant future for the next 50 years ... Our wise leadership has raised the ceiling and defined our vision, created the best resources and focused on citizens as the foundation, focus and end of the development process."

He pointed out that the annual meetings in its third session formed a comprehensive national government workshop, which brought together 500 government officials and a number of citizens in a team spirit under the banner of the Union .. They exchanged ideas and visions, and discussed dozens of initiatives aimed at making the future.

"We live in a world where the changes are accelerating and developments are progressing," he said. "The role of governments is sometimes diminished. The role of the private sector, media and research centers is emerging as a major influence in the world 's transformations and developments." The knowledge of government administration, to rediscover ourselves and our abilities continuously, and that the governments that do not innovate, and that do not evolve come out of the race and context, because rigid governments cause the decline of their people and the development process.

The Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future reviewed a number of fundamental future questions that require careful consideration and finding an adequate answer to them to design the future of the coming decades, the most important of them: Will the current form of governments fit for the next 50 years? .. And can our existing organizational structures to cope with the rapid changes and high ambitions of our leadership? Will our government culture be able to maintain our competitiveness for the next 50 years?

Mohammed Al Gergawi tackled three new trends in the future government work, which are the themes of research and discussion during the coming period, pointing out that the first trend is the need for governments to shift from a provider of services to a catalyst, observer and sector-enabled, and that the government transforms from a platform for services to a platform to lead change, because Sustainability of quality service delivery will be linked to a comprehensive revision of the entire system, so that the government is a platform that connects the service provider to its recipients, and moves from storing information to data management, by building long-term smart partnerships with organizations capable of managing and developing the future. .

The second trend is that the continuity of our competitiveness during the next phase will be linked to our ability to create large players in all fields can exceed our geographical boundaries, especially today we live in the world of major blocs, which is dominated by the big players in the technology and banking sectors, media and other sectors in the world Therefore, the establishment of large entities with high financial solvency able to compete nationally, regionally and globally is the fastest way to maintain our competitiveness, reduce costs and support our national economy.

He added that the third trend focuses on the secret of the UAE's supremacy and its economic strength, which is based on one principle. It is to consolidate the position of the state - an open platform for business, creativity, talent and investments without barriers or restrictions. The idea of openness to others was the greatest principle through which we were able. Enhance our superiority, competitiveness and position as a global economic center.

Mohammed Al-Qarqai posed a pivotal question about ways to develop this principle for the next 50 years, pointing out that the UAE has benefited from investments and talent, and that the sustainability of the UAE's superiority requires expanding the circle of talents and investments, not to wait for the coming of talent and investments, but go to them, stressing that the idea is not to benefit only from talent To take advantage of talent everywhere in the world, and to move from the concept of a geographically defined economy to a transnational participatory global economy.

"If we can transform the UAE into a global participatory platform that leverages human resources and talents wherever they are, we will make economic leaps," he said. "The solution is to push our economic borders and expand them beyond our geographical boundaries."
