A recent study, the first of its kind, shows that four out of five children aged 11 to 17 years around the world do not exercise enough.

According to the World Health Organization, this is damaging their health, mental development and social skills.

She adds that the lack of adequate exercise on a daily basis is a global problem in both rich and poor countries.

The study concluded that boys were more active than girls in 146 countries studied, with the exception of four countries.

The study showed that physical exercise can include:

Running
Cycling
Swimming
football
Jumping
Jump rope
Gymnastics
The goal is 60 minutes of moderate to severe exercises daily.
