Since a week ago Pedro Sánchez and Pablo Iglesias announced their express government agreement, they have not stopped raising voices of alarm about the disastrous effects that, if materialized, would have for Spain. And not only because of the damage that the return to expansive spending and fiscal increase policies would bring to the economy, against which Brussels has been warning. Also, due to the risks that stability, national cohesion and social coexistence entail a weak government dependent on independence and radical left.

That is why the lack of a firm reaction from the main opposition party is not understood. We must congratulate that since the same election night the PP refused to give unconditional support to Sánchez by abstaining in his possible investiture. It would be a wrong way to understand state responsibility . However, PP voters miss Pablo Casado, as president of the second most voted party, leading an unequivocal response to avoid the new Frankenstein that Sanchez is preparing. Casado must offer a real and concrete alternative that discourages the PSOE from making a mistake that several generations of Spaniards would pay dearly.
