In November 2019, we reached more than 2 million visits to the Dubai Data Platform (Dubai Pulse), shortly after we achieved a million and a half visits last September, a figure that has more significance than just an increase in those interested in following up the data of the Emirate of Dubai.

This achievement by making the platform more attractive came as a result of the collaboration of government partners involved in the City Data Challenge (Data First) with the Dubai Data Foundation team, who have made qualitative efforts to open and share their data on the platform.

This is the beginning of a qualitative and quantitative transformation of the data available on the Dubai Pulse platform, and goes beyond talking about the numbers, which is a fundamental step in the journey maturing our view of the data, and the way we deal with it, and this is in the interest of customers who will have a clear digital journey, and all parties can Easily and reliably read customer data, which is reflected positively on the transition to paperless government, people's comfort and happiness.

The most important aspect of the maturity of the experience of opening and sharing data is that we have seen at Dubai Smart that many partners have shifted their efforts to open and share their data from simply complying with the requirements of the Dubai Data Law, Dubai Data Policies and Data Challenge First regulations to “Data Volunteering”. “Government partners are taking the initiative to take additional standards at the corporate level, contributing to the automatic feeding of the Dubai data platform, including the development of data as a strategic part of strategic business performance indicators, and not left to individual efforts and initiatives, so that it will measure the performance of its departments based on the way They are in the open and share data.

Two million visitors are an indicator that tells us that the world listens with interest to what we have in Dubai to tell.

Our analysis at Dubai Smart, of the nature of the consumption of Dubai Open data, says that many cities around the world and institutions see us as a role model in digital transformation.

Just as volunteering in the concept of development contributes to the enrichment of societies, I believe that data volunteering from government and private institutions is a new development concept, linked to the digital age and the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Governmental or private.
