Since yesterday, everyone has heard the name of James Le Mesurier. A very spy-literary name, it must be said (le Carré, etc.). And the personality is very complicated and literary, in which there are so many layers that you can understand the FSB together with MI5 and MI6 for months, if not years. Although, most likely, MI6 does not need to be understood: they just understand everything who James Le Mezurie is, just look at the payroll lists.
The simple reading public heard mainly the echo of his legend: such as a former military man, the founder of the White Helmets movement of ordinary citizens, a fighter for truth in the context of Middle Eastern dictatorships, and so on. But the character himself preferred less to sell an artistic person in the media. Its facade has always been White Helmets, a completely independent organization, which “brings the truth from the fronts and rear of the Middle East wars.”
Unfortunately, just now he fell out of a window in Istanbul and hurt himself to death. It’s very unfortunate: this is an irreparable loss not only for loved ones, but also for those who will sooner or later judge the workers of the “White Helmets” and their patrons - there is less by one key witness.
The official biography of Le Mezurier: this is “a former British military who helped found the White Helmets in 2014, blah blah blah.” Well, no matter how we ask questions, why should the British military stir up the propaganda outlet in Syria in order to show the world all the horrors of Assad’s bloody regime. Well, you never know, maybe the fiery heart did not give rest to the legs, the pain for the entire Middle East, where the native state has not badly froliced over the past hundred years. Although something tells you not. And "White Helmets" were created for very specific purposes, on the way to which nothing is too much.
And Le Mezurier completely by accident, at the call of his heart, gathered these “White Helmets” from disparate groups operating in “territories beyond the control of the troops of Bashar al-Assad.” It was them who were primarily provided with financial and organizational assistance by the United Kingdom, which provided money, equipment, medicines and organized trainings.
First, he combined them into a nationwide organization, Syrian Civil Defense, which is the official name. "White helmets" is, so to speak, a trademark.
Literally immediately after the start of the “helmets” actions, people with clear eyes suddenly began to notice oddities in the “documentary filming” of this office. Namely: the staging nature of many episodes, which each time was replicated by the Western media as irrefutable evidence of Assad's crimes against his own people. Either the same people worked in the frame as victims, then they were caught on the fact that they shot shots from Syria in a fence in Egypt.
But, of course, they concocted the largest fake with the so-called chemical attack on a peaceful hospital. It was the whippers who circulated shots from the hospital, reported a large number of victims, pointing to the culprits of the incident - the Syrian military. And then it turned out that the reporters of One America News Network did not try to find any signs of a chemical attack or information about it. And the employees of the “attacked” hospital said that unknown people broke into their hospital that day, filming the panic they created, accompanied by shouts about a chemical attack.
Later, it was this video that was presented as “irrefutable evidence”.
Since then, by the way, the citation curve of White Helmets materials has gone down, despite the fact that everyone did a good face. But more and more questions — why and why the “neutral” members of the organization find themselves exclusively in the territories captured by terrorists — did not prevent them from nominating the office for an alternative Nobel Peace Prize in 2016. But it’s interesting: it seems that the office is called the National Organization “Syrian Civil Defense”, and the pro-government part of the Syrian people somehow remained completely uncaught. Her, as it were.
The manufacturing technology of media fakes is put on stream precisely in the Syrian conflict. This is the girl Bana from the "bombed Aleppo" with nimble internet and daily Twitter, and her young followers. By the way, how is she now? After he and his mother were given money in the form of a prize, they merged somewhere quietly. But the marketing and propaganda moves worked out. Everything is fine. And this is only part of the White Helmets heritage, which is led by smart and cynical people who are not of Syrian origin.
Money rain is pouring regularly on the organization - and not private donors do it at all, but governments: not only Britain, but also the USA, Denmark, Canada, Germany, the Netherlands. The United States at some point jumped off the muddy topic, but they were somehow convincingly invited to give money again. These are millions and millions of dollars, without which the activities of White Helmets are simply impossible.
And, in fact, it was precisely the “former officer” Le Mezure who was involved in the financial flows, being the CEO of a company called Mayday Rescue. What does she do? That's right: with all the finances of the Syrian Civil Defense.
If someone was surprised that the CEO fell out of the window in Istanbul, then do not be surprised. The office has two headquarters: one in London, as usual, the other in Istanbul. So it doesn’t matter how bad James was with the nerves and depression he was actively treating - it was no coincidence that he was in Istanbul. He did his daily work - money for the anti-state side of the Syrian conflict. Let's be honest: what does "civil defense" have to do with it?
And now he burned out at work. We will not indulge in senseless speculation; there is someone to do this without us. But there is a lot of interesting things ahead.
