An earthquake of magnitude 5.6 occurred in Guatemala


Seismologists recorded an earthquake of magnitude 5.6 in the Guatemalan department of Santa Rosa. It is reported by the US Geological Survey (USGS).

According to the service, the epicenter of tremors was recorded 8 km northwest of the village of Casillas.

The focus lies at a depth of 197.5 km.

Earlier it became known that as a result of an earthquake in northwestern Iran, five people were killed and another 529 were injured.
