Agnès Buzin sliced. According to information from Europe 1, the Minister of Solidarity and Health has decided that the hospital of Longué-Jumelles (Maine-et-Loire) will keep its public status, while privatization was envisaged. The establishment, which has accumulated more than four million euros of deficit, is in the grip of severe financial difficulties, and was the subject of a "call to buyer" launched last March by the County Council of Maine. et-Loire and the Pays-de-la-Loire Regional Health Agency.

The elected representatives preached the private solution

Two offers were in the running: one from the University Hospital of Angers, in partnership with Mutualité Française, the other from a private for-profit group, the Noble Age . But the unions and several local officials had stepped up to oppose the possible privatization of this hospital, which would have been a first in France. They worried about the fate of the 109 agents of the establishment and a possible increase in the price of day. The president of the departmental council (DVD) Christian Gillet, leaned him for the private solution, as well as the mayor (SE) of Longué-Jumelles Frédéric Mortier. It is thus the solution of the maintenance of the establishment in the public sphere which was retained. The hospital has 85 beds of Ehpad, 30 beds of follow-up care and rehabilitation and 35 beds in long-term care unit.
